Lincoln Equestrian Center is a great place to show. We have lots of warm-up area, both indoor and outdoor. Our new outdoor dressage arena has been completed. The footing is lovely! There are semi-permanent stalls for competitors, as well as some openings inside the main barn.

Not to mention the competitors party, that will take place June 2nd after the last ride. What fun. Oh, and I have it on good authority that there will be door prizes.

So sign up already!

Is anyone going to this show??? With gas so high, would like to know if there will be someone to ride against before sending off entries.

I will be going to this show, and I can think of at least 2 other competitors, who are not frequently seen, who will also be showing at first level.

It will be lots of fun!

The purpose of dressage competition is NOT to be concerned with the people you will be competing against, but IS to better yourself. It's about personal competition and besting your own scores, not the scores of others. It is to be a good measure of your own improvement, training and hard work. If your sole deciding factor for which competitions in which you are going to ride is your fellow riders, I suggest you take up bowling.

Although I do not know you or the writer(s) on this blog, I hope you know how rude your comment was for the show management, your fellow competitors and the blog writers. I would assume that is NOT the point of this blog. I would assume the point of this blog is for positive, fun commentary, news and info.

You can post your rebuttle, but I will not diginfy it with another comment, because AGAIN, that is not the point of this blog.

It looks like a well planned show with some excellent judges. I won't be able to show but do intend to go out to help/watch/eat BBQ and generally be part of the fun. Riding for the judges LEC has retained would be an excellent opportunity. Tia's mom

I'll be competing at LEC and am looking forward to this show. I am new to dressage, but am really enjoying it because of the reason listed above: I'm performing a test to better my riding: I am competing against myself- my previous rides; & I like the comraderie. The Bar B Q sounds fun.

Well gee Xhalt, I don't really get how my asking if anyone was going to show at the show is rude. I live 140 miles from the show and was just wondering if there is someone to compete against. I have a 3 hour drive to get there and it is disappointing to be the only one my class. I am not afraid to ride against anyone if that is your point. Only wanted to know if some friends were going. What is wrong with that. I also have a breed show I can attend that weekend and am torn between the two. I showed last weekend at the classic in that "attempt" to better myself and my horse. We did darned well if I can applaud my horse. I am no beginner to the show ring or critizism. Your comments XHalt will inspire me to put my entries in the mail. You won't find a rider that works harder at the equine game than I do and if i ride my tests as the only entrant at first level, so be it. The oil companies will get about 200 bucks in gas from me next weekend.

P.S. I can't stand bowling. You go bowl

Hey Norby's mom,and Miss Margo, I appreciate the answers to my questions on if anyone was going to the show. I am going to come as well. I just needed to know the long drive I will have will be worth it. In this day and age of extremely high gas prices knowing there will be someone to hang out with and visit with and support at the show makes all the difference. I can't wait to see LEC. Have heard it is a nice place.

Regardless of what Xhalt thinks, I anticipate a great time and some honest old fashioned fun. And I go to do my best and win and have fun. Showing is competative and I hope we have a lot of riders in all divisions. The more the better and I don't care if they are Anky Van Gruesvan, or the horse next door.
